70 Lincoln Center Plz # 2
New York, NY 10023
Dear Henry Timms:
My name is Kevin Wang, and I am writing to express my interest in the IT internship opportunity within Lincoln Center that was advertised on Indeed. As a student currently pursuing a computer science degree at “The City College of New York”(CCNY), I am eager to improve my skills and enthusiasm for technology at Lincoln Center. The opportunity to develop professionally and forming connections in the field aligns perfectly with my aspirations, along with my interests in the roles given. I believe I am a strong candidate for this position because of my background in programming and current courseworks, which both equip me with necessary skills needed in the IT field.
Currently, I have experience programming in “Python” and “Javascript”, aligning well with the skill building opportunity in Lincoln Center’s “IT” internship. I believe I fit into the coding role and am able to work in both front and backend development as an intern. Through coursework and personal projects, I’ve also strengthened my abilities in drafting, copy editing, and design, skills needed for efficient tech communication. My academic background has also equipped me on creating effective and compelling presentations, which I look forward to employing in Lincoln Center.
Throughout my academic journey, I’ve pursued a wide range of jobs and opportunities to broaden my skill set. My experiences at “Nicky’s Cafe Corp” and “Parent Child Relationship Association”(PCR) have provided me with valuable skills useful for any position possible. My hours dedicated to community service at PCR has taught me to be a dynamic team player and promoted my collaborative skills, as well as my sense of responsibility and work ethic. Similarly, my time at “Nicky’s Cafe Corp” taught me the significance of following company policy and maintaining a safe working environment. Organizing various products everyday also reinforced my organizational skills. Along with it, my daily interactions with customers and coworkers allowed me to be proficient in verbal communication, and strengthened my ability to deliver satisfactory service. I believe these skills learned from my experience at PCR and “Nicky’s Cafe Corp” have prepared me to excel as an intern in Lincoln Center, and will allow me to do well.
I am enthusiastic about the opportunity to further discuss how my experience and skills align with the position’s requirements. I am eager to contribute to the team at Lincoln Center and would be excited to discuss these qualifications in an interview. It would also be a great opportunity for me to delve deeper into my resume, and how my background in PCR and “Nicky’s Cafe Corp” puts me as a strong candidate for this role. Please feel free to contact me at 917-963-5562 or “kvwang123@gmail.com” to schedule an interview anytime from Thursday to Sunday. Thank you for considering my application.
Sincerely,
Kevin Wang
